Cold, Wet Winter Ahead?

The official start of winter is a little over a month away and the Farmers’ Almanac long-range seasonal forecast calls for bitter cold and lots of moisture!

Extreme cold is expected in mid-February especially in the Northeast/New England, Great Lakes, Midwest and even the Southeast. Above normal precipitation is expected in January and February for the Great Lakes states, Midwest, Pacific Northwest and New England. While in the Mid-Atlantic wetter conditions along with freezing temperatures will likely create ice storms and freezing rain.

Heading into March, snow, rain and sleet it expected from coast to coast.
