Storm Updates
9/4/08
Gustav-Hanna-Ike-Josephine
For the first time since 1999 there are 4 named tropical systems in the Atlantic basin. To say we have a period of high activity in the tropics is an understatement. Hanna is forecast for a GA/SC landfall on Friday, Ike is forecast to head for Florida, and Josephine is meandering west behind him. We are in for a long week...month...season.
Deployment requests are coming in, and we are making plans for them to continue coming in all week. We are staging in Dallas and will be monitoring these forecasts very closely. If you are not on Standby with us at this time, please check in with your ECS dispatcher, our Home Office at (800) 827-9013 or (303) 988-6286, or visit the Status Update Form.
