Blink and You Missed It

TS Fernand formed off the coast of Mexico late yesterday and dude is already a weakening tropical depression.

Not to worry, as the waves will be rolling off the African coast regularly for the next few weeks due to the African Monsoon. While the pesky SAL is still lingering, we should see a reduction over the next two weeks in the dry, dusty conditions associated with the phenomena. So, in theory we are looking at a great set up for activity in the Atlantic for the near term.

Currently there is a wave worth watching that came off the African coast yesterday. A number of factors will give this wave tropical storm potential in the next week or so.

There is also talk of another wave that should roll off the coast on Friday, that could also be a candidate for development.
