95 stayin' alive

95L has appeared in the Bay of Campeche and while it is too early to tell exactly how this system will evolve, it will most likely bring heavy rainfall to the Gulf Coast and Florida over the weekend. The NHC has given an 80% chance of development in the next five days, but weak steering currents in the Gulf may keep 95 from moving out of the Bay.  The system will brush the Mexican coast during this time as well, bringing more moisture to an area already drenched by Ingrid and Manuel. The two storms formed a fatal combo, leaving at least 80 are dead and 58 missing. Manuel continues to thrash Mexico, making a second landfall this morning.  

We will be watching this system very closely in the coming days! The 10th named storm of the season will be named Jerry…
